Outplacement services for organisations
Redundancy | Restructuring | Career transitionOutplacement coaching for organisations
Bespoke career transition support for staff affected by redundancy, restructuring or organisational change.
I provide outplacement coaching for organisations that want to support employees professionally and practically during periods of change. This may include redundancy, redeployment, restructuring, internal role applications or wider career transition support.
Some organisations need support for a small number of staff. Others need a more structured programme for larger groups. I work flexibly depending on the size, seniority and needs of the people being supported.
For larger outplacement programmes, I work with a small group of trusted career and interview coaching specialists. This gives organisations the capacity to support staff at different levels, often within tight timeframes, while ensuring the coaching remains personal, practical and professionally managed.
Recent clients include: NHS Chelsea and Westminster, Newham Council, The Gambling Commission, Local Government Assoociation, University of Reading and General Dental Council.
How outplacement can help
Redundancy and restructuring can be unsettling, even for experienced professionals. Staff may need help to rebuild confidence, understand their options and present themselves strongly for the next stage of their career.
Outplacement coaching gives employees practical support with career direction, CVs, LinkedIn profiles, applications and interviews. It also gives organisations a constructive way to support people through change with dignity, clarity and care.
Support can be delivered through one-to-one coaching, group training sessions such as courses or webinars or a combination of both.
Who is this for
Outplacement coaching can support employees at different levels, including:
- Professionals affected by redundancy or restructuring
- Managers and senior managers moving into the external job market
- Staff applying for internal roles as part of a restructure
- Employees who need to rebuild confidence after organisational change
- Individuals who have not applied for a role or attended an interview for many years
- Teams needing practical CV, application or interview training
The support is always tailored to the organisation, the staff group and the outcomes needed.
What coaching can include
Outplacement support can be designed as a complete programme or focused on priority areas.
- Career direction and confidence
- Helping staff reflect on their strengths, transferable skills and career options, and move from uncertainty into practical next steps.
- CV and LinkedIn support
- Creating clear, targeted CVs and LinkedIn profiles that communicate experience, achievements and value effectively.
- Applications and personal statements
- Supporting staff to write stronger cover letters, supporting statements and personal statements that are clearly matched to role requirements.
- Interview preparation
- Preparing for competency, behaviour, values-based and strength-based interviews, including selecting examples, structuring answers and practising through mock interviews.
- Salary, offer and next-step support
- Helping individuals think through salary expectations, evaluate opportunities and make confident decisions about their next move.
- One-to-one coaching and group training
- Support can be delivered through individual coaching, group training sessions or a blended programme, depending on the size and needs of the organisation.
Outplacement coaching for organisations
Outplacement support can be delivered in different formats depending on the needs of your organisation.
One-to-one coaching works well when staff need tailored support with their career direction, CV, applications or interview preparation.
Group training works well when a larger number of staff need practical guidance on topics such as CV writing, LinkedIn, applications or interview skills.
Many organisations choose a blended approach, with group training followed by individual coaching for those who need more personalised support.
A flexible approach for organisations
Every organisation is different. Some need a light-touch programme for a small number of staff. Others need structured support for a larger group across different roles and levels.
I can help you decide what level of support is appropriate and whether this should be delivered through individual coaching, group training or a combination of both.
The aim is always to give staff practical, high-quality support that helps them move forward with greater confidence.
Private outplacement coaching
I also work with private clients who have been made redundant or are preparing for a career move after restructuring. If you are looking for individual support, I can help with career direction, CVs, LinkedIn, applications and interview preparation.Con
